Backup your Netscaler appliance
If it is a production environment it is always good to have a backup before the custom theme installation. You may either,

1. Full snapshot of your virtual appliance. or
2. Back up the folder /var/netscaler/logon via the FTP client.

Install your Custom Theme

1. You may install our custom them using our PS1 script which is very easiest and most recommended way. Or,
2. You may install manually if you are familiar with NetScaler GUI and FTP.

One Step Installer (PS1).

1. Right click on the Install-Theme.ps1 and click Run with Powershell.
2. It will open Powershell window and ask you to input NetScaler IP. Enter it.
3. In the next prompt it will ask you for the theme name you prefer to create. Input the theme name of your choice.
4. Complete with user and password of your NetScaler.
5. If all good, the installation will be done in few seconds, and you will be notified at the same prompt.

Manual Installation:

1. Login to your Netscaler Management GUI.
2. Click Add Under NetScaler Gateway >> Portal themes
3. Name your Theme and click Save with defaults without any other changes.
4. Now open your NetScaler appliance via FTP.
5. Go to /var/netscaler/logon/themes/{YourCustomTheme}.
6. Delete the Index.html and tmindex.html symlinks.
7. Now upload and overwrite your custom theme files.

Note: with manual installation, don’t overwrite the files before deleting the index and tmindex symlinks because your root index files will be overwritten.

Customizing Image assets
All themes contain all custom assets under the folder called custom_media. You can replace it with your own assets. For example, to change the logo,

1. Prepare or rename your logo file to logo.png.
2. Just overwrite at custom_media.

You can change background, logo, favicon and social icons in the same way.

Customizing text and links

1. Open script.js file at root folder in a text editor.
2. You can see all configurable text and links located under the config block.
3. For example, for Harbroon theme it should be HARBROON_CONFIG. Refer to the image below.
4. Below are the components you can change here.
   1. Page Title
   2. Login Form Title
   3. Login button text
   4. Social links
   5. Copyright text
   6. Legal text and links (Terms and Privacy)

Note: sometimes the custom theme or all customizations may not be reflected immediately because of browser cache or netscaler’s static cache. In that case you can overcome the cache using the steps below.

1. Check with private window.
2. Login to NetScaler appliance via SSH and run below command.
   flush cache contentGroup loginstaticobjects

What are the NetScaler versions your theme works?
Our themes work good with NetScaler 12.x, 13.x and 14.x. It is built with core rule of NetScaler portal themes hence it also works good with your updates.

What is the Base theme of this custom theme?
RfWebUI.

Do your theme works with both AAA and VPN pages?
Yes. Our themes work with both AAA and VPN login pages that uses RfWebUI. It also works with all login schemas by default.

Is there any CMS provided with the theme to customize the graphic elements?
No these are quick themes with no CMS or Admin module available for customization. However you can simply change the graphics (ex: logo, background) by replacing them. Each theme contains instructions for changing logo, background, footer text and few others for your quick customization. This type of customization will take only few minutes for you.

Are all your themes responsive to browsers?
Yes, All our themes are responsive by nature. It is committed to keep responsiveness with all browsers including device browsers. You can always post to us in case of any issues on responsiveness and we are committed to fix ASAP.

Are there any browser limitations with your RD Web themes?
No. If your default NetScaler login interface works well in a browser then our custom themes do so. We always test our themes in most popular browsers such as IE 9,10,11; Firefox; Safari; Chrome; Edge and Opera. We always committed to fix and update our themes quickly as possible if there any cross browser compatibility issues. Please feel free to post to us in such cases.

Do you offer any money back guarantee?
All our sales are final and we offer NO REFUND. Also, there is no exchange of themes is possible.

Do the quick themes come with any additional features?
No. the custom features such as Forgot Password, Announcements, links, etc, are part of our Custom Interface Solutions. We don’t offer any of these features with our ready-made themes. Can we order additional features to our custom themes?
Yes. After purchase you can send us an email if you need any additional features such as Forgot Password, Announcements, links etc. We will discuss the cost and provide you customized theme package upon the agreement.

Do you provide Documentation and Tutorials?
Yes. All our themes include the installation guide and tips for quick customization such as changing logo, background, footer text etc. However you can also read our general installation and best practices guide here>>

Can I use the theme on multiple servers/instances?
Yes. You can use the theme in any number of instances/servers such as high availability instances, development environments etc. But the theme must be used by one environment (yours or your customer’s) and must not be distributed or sold among your customers.

How can I get updates of my theme?
The updates/patches of themes are available under your login. You can see all your purchased themes as well updates around them on your dashboard. That is the reason we force you to register and login before purchase.

How often you update your themes?
Generally it is very less. Once we bundled our theme we don’t add features/options into it. However browser compatibility issues are the cases we are generally forced to update our themes. For example if IE 13 is released there may be some browser compatible issue expected and in such case we act immediately to fix those issues and update our themes. We are quick to resolve and make the patches available on our store in such cases.

Do you offer support after purchase?
Yes, you will have life time support on your theme. You will have access to your account and download any update related to the theme you purchase. Also if there is any actual bug on the theme reported by you then we are committed to fix and provide you the patch update. There are no charges for fixing bugs as we are aiming to provide bug free themes as always.

Do you support on providing additional languages?
All our RD Web quick themes come with 5 popular languages by default. English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch are the 5 language packs come by default. If you need any additional language specific to your region we are committed to offer that. There is no cost for that. You just need to purchase the theme and make your request to us mentioning your Order ID. We will deliver your language patch within 2 days of time.
